Why should I ask Why?... Ping!

Maybe you were that kid who asked too many questions. It seems that as we get older, we decide that asking questions is not a good thing, so we stop. 

The problem is, we only learn by asking, that's why kids do it, they are learning, so if we stop asking - then we stop learning.

Looking beyond the barrier... Ping!

I experienced a massive lightbulb moment this month, it was more like a lightening bolt!

I have always prided myself on being the type of person who deals with challenges head on, don't shy away, face them and deal with each and every barrier that gets in my way of being who I want to be.

You get what you give... Ping!

When I moved to the US I had to re-establish myself and my business in a country where I knew no-one. 

I hit the marketing scene and met a ton of people. Lots of really nice people, but not that many who wanted to contract with me.  I knew my business was based on the grounds of "know, like and trust" but how do you do that when no one knows you, let alone likes or trusts you?

I have been considering how things comes to an end this month, and I realised that there is never really an end.

When one thing finishes it's really just the opening of the next thing.

This could be transitioning from one job to another, moving from one place to another or the beginning of the legacy of someone who has passed on.

It's been many years since I left my corporate job to become a solo-entrepreneur.

The biggest concern about going it alone was not having a team of people around me.

I get my energy and inspiration from working along side others.

Love is in the air, and I'm not known to be overtly emotional, but recently I've been tested.

I had to provide someone with a lot emotional support and then found myself having to reach out for support, as a result.

Well, that was an interesting start to the year. 

I had chosen Conflict Resolution as my topic for January, thinking about how we make New Year Resolutions to be better, or to start or stop something.

I was thinking how I would resolve to embrace conflict. Sounds weird right?

It's not what you know, but who... Ping!

The biggest reflection for me was realizing how important my network has been to me this year. 

I have gained new business and met lots of fantastic people, and during a year of no travel and "stay at home" orders, that's pretty pleasing to me.

This is the month of being Thankful, I am sure you have all read enough about being thankful for all those little things or the people in our lives that we sometimes take for granted.

But how about being thankful for the failures that we can't forget? Those mistakes, faux pas, screw ups and disasters that we may have faced this year or some time in the past?

"Part of me is afraid"... Ping!

I heard the phrase "Part of me is afraid" this month and it really did set off a lightbulb in my head.

How powerful is it that you can decide that only part of you is afraid and that the other part of you isn't?

That means you can choose to work with the part that isn't afraid and take action.
