Course outline

This course covers skills in all methods of communication, Verbal, and non-verbal. We focus on how to really listen before you can be understood.  How questioning can help you get your message across and listening is done by using more than just your ears.

Course Objective

 

By the end of this course, you will be able to identify with your ability, and the ability of others, to communicate. You will have practiced different questioning techniques to really get to the answers you need, developing a greater understanding of how to communicate more, by doing less.

TAKE IT ON THE CHIN - HOW TO GIVE AND RECEIVE FEEDBACK
Course outline

This course is designed to give skills in giving and receiving feedback. Often feedback can be as difficult to take, as it is to give, so here we will look at the genuine meaning of feedback and how it can be recognised, accepted and utilised for creating a culture of positive feedback.

By the end of this course you will be able to evaluate between good and poor feedback. You will also be able to define great feedback and the methods used to ensure feedback is received, either motivationally or developmentally, as it is intended.

This assertiveness course, is not just about becoming “more” assertive, it is about using assertive behaviours and language to work towards a mutually agreeable solution in any situation.  It is about recognising your “fall back” behaviour and becoming naturally and internally assertive.

This course provides an alternative view of presenting, it questions the “why” and “how” of presenting. It is an extremely interactive course filled with practice and review sessions. There will be opportunities to prepare and practice presentations throughout the course, both on business and non-work related subjects.
